2 weeks ago my Dr. stressed concern that "Otis" is growing rapidly. I just got back from an appt today and did an ultrasound. The results were that the baby right now at 35 weeks weighs 6 1/2 lbs! Typically, the baby's gains a 1/2 lb each week from this point on. Therefore, if I were to go the full 40 weeks term, Otis will weigh approximately 9 lbs!!
I knew it! I just hope I deliver either a week early OR just pray the drugs are strong enough for me to push a 9 pounder through my pelvis.
I was going to add the ultra sound picture, but the image was not very clear.

Wow! 6 1/2 lbs already! That's incredible! You know that you are one of 6 friends due at the end of May! I can't wait to meet my fellow Gemini! Love ya!
