SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT:
Kai has been sleeping from 730p until 6-7a the next morning since he was 8 weeks old. We have an established routine for bedtime. His last feeding is around 6 to 6:30p and we play or read with him after. Then we give him a bath and get him ready for bed by 7:30p.
COOING ALL THE TIME:
Kai LOVES to talk. Jarred and I sense that he may learn to talk before he learns to walk. He tries to mimic us all the time and you can tell he gets frustrated trying to repeat what we say. He seems to be a good communicator. Instead of crying in the mornings for us to get him, he coos really loud almost as if he is calling for us.
GRABBING AND PUTTING EVERYTHING IN HIS MOUTH:
Kai recently started grabbing things and putting things in his mouth. He’s not that strong at it yet, but he will be soon. He finally enjoys the toy attachment to his baby bouncer because he reaches for it. Before he would just stare at it and it wasn’t too long after when he would be over it. I would give him soft book, toys, anything and he will put them in his mouth.
DROOLING:
He’s now drooling everywhere. At this moment, he’s not teething yet.
LAUGHING:
He finally started laughing last week. It was so cool hearing him laugh!! We captured it on video.
LIFTING HIS NECK:
Most babies at this age have a strong neck. I didn’t start giving Kai “belly-time”, which is supposed to strengthen his neck until recently. He didn’t like it at first. But now his neck is stronger and yesterday, I put him in his jumper.
